چکیده
Abstract Most approaches to 3D printing at various scales are layer based, meaning they start with a CAD model that is sliced into planar print paths be translated machine code. However, this approach entails number of drawbacks, such as slow speeds, limited build volumes, allowable geometric properties, and material diversity. To overcome these limitations, the authors have developed novel additive manufacturing process called Non-Planar Granular Printing (NGP). Compared its layer-based counterpart, NGP enables non-planar by selectively binding reusable granular particles create free-form structures. In doing so, leverages traditional powder-based processes. instead enclosing extruded compounds within three-axis system, NPG combines multi-axis robotic deposition capabilities customizable volume parameters, which drastically improves speed, scalability versatility. The result whose main advantage enable rapid production support-free complex forms using wide range materials in form. This paper introduces analyzes series benchmark experiments conducted demonstrate practical workflow, general output capabilities, volume-material limitations system. research also lays foundation extrusion transitions for functional gradience capabilities.

Non-planar Reslicing for Freehand 3D Ultrasound
Any-plane slicing is a visualisation technique common to many medical imaging modalities, including 3D ultrasound. The acquired data is resampled on a user-speciied plane and rendered, usually after some interpolation, on a standard graphics display. In this paper, we motivate and develop non-planar reslicing for freehand 3D ultrasound: the data is resampled not on a at plane, but a curved surf...

The rapid development in additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing, has brought about potential risk and security issues along with significant benefits. In order to enhance the security level of the 3D printing process, the present research aims to detect and recognize illegal components using deep learning. In this work, we collected a dataset of 61,340 2D images (28×28 for each ...
متن کامل3d Printing and Wood
Interest in 3D printing has greatly increased since 2013. With 3D printing high part complexity at no additional costs can be achieved, beside of efficiently using the raw material. This article reviews recent developments in 3D printing, with respect to the use of wood. Three examples are given on how wood could come to 3D printing: development of bio-based filaments, printing wood-like 3D obj...
متن کاملEdible 3D Printing
The potential of 3D printing has been under technical and philosophical discussion for some time, but current rapid prototyping materials can be costly and are limited in terms of functional and visual qualities. Food-based materials could provide a novel and exciting alternative which may also be affordable and accessible as 3d printing extends from industrial applications towards educational ...
